The extension runs on Reddit user profile pages (reddit.com/user/*) and restores posts and comments that Reddit has hidden from public view. It fetches hidden activity from our backend API and injects it back into the feed.

No Reddit account login or credentials are ever requested or accessed.

We do not run any self-built data collection. All usage analytics are handled entirely by two third-party tools operating under their own privacy frameworks: PostHog and Plausible Analytics. We have no custom pipeline sitting between you and these tools.

The data these tools receive includes: anonymized event names (e.g. profile page visited, items injected), the Reddit username of the profile being viewed, performance metrics (fetch times, item counts), extension version, and your IP address as an incidental part of the HTTP request. No personally identifiable information is collected.

PostHog receives events via its hosted service at us.i.posthog.com. We use it with autocapture, session recording, and surveys fully disabled — only the specific events described above are sent manually. A randomly generated anonymous UUID is stored locally in your browser and used as a stable identifier so we can count unique users without tracking identity.

We run a self-hosted instance of Plausible at analytics.vibecheck-bot.com. Plausible is a cookieless analytics tool — it does not use cookies, does not store personal data, and does not track users across sites. It uses a daily-rotating hash of your IP address and user agent for visit deduplication; this hash is never stored persistently and cannot be reversed to identify you.

The extension stores two things locally in your browser:

• A randomly generated anonymous UUID (used by PostHog for deduplication)
• A cache of subreddit icon URLs to avoid redundant network requests

Neither is linked to your identity. Both can be cleared via Chrome's extension storage settings.

• Reddit account credentials or session tokens
• Content of posts or comments you view
• Browsing history outside Reddit profile pages
• Name, email, address, or any other personally identifiable information
• Financial, health, or authentication data

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to any third party. Data flowing to PostHog and Plausible is used solely to understand how the extension is used and to improve it.
